The UAE Public Health Connection

Launched in January 1, 2025 by past counseling psychologist/current public health student Reema Baniabbasi, and public health consultant, Nadia Tekkal, the UAE Public Health Connection is a networking group for public health professionals and students from different specialties and levels of experience who are currently based in the United Arab Emirates. 

Virtual meetings take place once per month where we exchange insights from locally-based conferences, readings, and experiences and discuss possibilities for collaborating on projects together. We further try to cheer each other on by attending presentations we are hosting in other professional communities or in the public. 

Membership is currently free and open to new members who are willing to play an active role in either co-facilitating meetings, note taking in meetings, facilitating trips to locally based conferences, exchanging resources on events and professional opportunities that can benefit us all, or in mentoring one another.
